Information, not a shop

The site describes nurseries, plants and techniques. It is not a store, sells no plants, takes no orders and forms no contract between you and any nursery; an order you place is a contract between you and the nursery you placed it with, under its own terms and guarantee.

Seasons and figures vary

Every zone, date, temperature and price band on this site is published as a planning range, because soils, elevations and years differ inside every zone. Verify the current terms of any nursery before ordering, measure your own soil rather than trusting any table blindly, and send corrections to the address on the contact page; the method is stated in the editorial policy.

Liability and content

The guides are written with care, but the site accepts no liability for decisions, losses or disappointments arising from their use.
